The Linyaps application migration challenge: the original retrospective

The application-migration challenge retrospective, with the original participants, results and ecosystem-development account.

About Linyaps

Linyaps is an open source project officially donated by UnionTech Software to the OpenAtom Foundation for incubation and operation in May 2024. It is a new type of independent package management toolset that aims to solve compatibility problems caused by the complexity and cross-dependencies of traditional software package formats under Linux systems, as well as security risks caused by too loose permission control.

From the perspective of ecological development, the Linyaps package solves the duplication of work and compatibility issues in cross-release builds by achieving the goal of "one architecture, one build", effectively reducing the cost of software development and maintenance.

Since its inception, the project has achieved significant improvements in technical stability and maturity. In the future, with the joint efforts of the foundation, community, developers and all contributors, Linyaps will further improve its technical architecture, enhance user experience, and expand its influence in the open source ecosystem.

“Linyaps” Application Migration and Development Competition

6 Month On 30 , the first migration development competition for Linyaps applications ended successfully. The developer community we formed ——“ Linyaps ecosystem collaboration team ”, Convergence Got it 400 Remaining developers, including 83 developers signed up to participate in this Linyaps application migration competition and contributed more than 100% to the Linyaps ecosystem. 2000 application. This time Participating Applications Works will be gradually put on the Linyaps store for download and use by users of all distributions. Activity Review >>>

Technology empowerment

Through this competition, user experience feedback from different releases and usage scenarios was collected to provide “ Linyaps ” Application in aspects such as stable compatibility, enhanced user experience, and optimization of technical functions Lay a solid foundation 。

Developer Growth

Developers have gradually transformed from technology learners to contributors to open source projects, transforming theoretical knowledge into practical results, helping to solve technical problems, and promoting application innovation and adaptation. The competition provides comprehensive Linyaps technical guidance and efficient conversion and development tools to help developers quickly master the construction process of Linyaps applications and realize the two-wheel drive of technology and talent. Construct “ Linyaps ” An important cornerstone of sustainable ecological development.
