These are the conditions of that completed event, not an invitation to join a 2026 competition.
What the activity was for
The deepin ecosystem group invited open-source enthusiasts to migrate applications into the Linglong package format. The announcement described compatibility, isolation and a stronger Linux application ecosystem as its aims. It offered technical guidance and conversion/build tools. Participants could convert a DEB package using the beginner tutorial or build from source using the project manual.
Participation requirements
Participants used deepin V23 at RC or later, selected applications from the organizers’ list and followed the packaging specification. This round covered amd64 only. For applications already in the store, the announcement required adding .linyaps to the original package name. Basic acceptance covered opening, running and uninstalling the application, with its main functions usable.
Dates and cash incentives
The activity period was 23 May–30 June 2024. Each accepted application earned 50 ecosystem points, exchangeable for RMB 10 before tax. Achievement awards could be combined with that base incentive. The highest one of four cumulative tiers applied once; the tiers did not stack with each other. Teams of up to five people were allowed.
| Accepted migrations | Achievement award, after tax |
|---|---|
| 50 | RMB 800 |
| 100 | RMB 2,000 |
| 150 | RMB 3,300 |
| 200 | RMB 5,000 |
Recognition and examination rights
- At least 10 accepted migrations qualified for a UCA junior-engineer training/examination entitlement described as worth RMB 2,000, covering a UnionTech single-seal certification track.
- At least 30 qualified for a UCP senior-engineer training/examination entitlement described as worth RMB 6,000, with the stated ministry/UnionTech dual-seal tracks.
- At least 50 qualified for the event’s ecosystem-contributor certificate.
- Points could also qualify for forum titles under the ecosystem group’s management rules.
The examination entitlement was an opportunity to take an exam, not an automatic professional certificate. The exam had to be completed within three months of entitlement issuance; obtaining certification depended on the result.
Submission and acceptance procedure
- Join the activity group to obtain the tools and tutorials.
- Register individual or team information in the group.
- Claim a task in the shared document.
- Complete the task and enter its status and package download link; the announcement said no backend upload was required.
- Have points calculated from applications successfully accepted into the store.
- Receive awards within one month after the event ended.
Conditions that mattered
Only packages passing community V23 compatibility and store acceptance counted. Base personal packaging incentives were before tax and subject to the stated personal-income-tax deduction; achievement awards were after tax. UnionTech retained final interpretation of the event rules. This page does not establish that any particular participant was accepted, paid or certified.
How the original announcement described Linyaps
It described a layered, isolated application environment and a rootless sandbox approach, intended to reduce dependency conflicts, permission risks and repeated distribution-specific packaging work. Its technical, business and ecosystem benefits were project objectives and claims in the announcement, not independent security or performance measurements made for this restored site.
Use the record today
For a new packaging project, reuse the practical acceptance questions—open, run, uninstall and verify core functions—but take commands and package naming from the current version’s documentation. The event’s incentive amounts, amd64-only scope and deadline remain specific to 2024.
