Linyaps integration in deepin 23: the original application-ecosystem announcement

The original deepin 23 integration announcement, its component changes, distribution support and dated application-ecosystem claims.

On August 15, the open source community deepin held an online new product launch conference with the theme "Born with AI, Makes a Difference", and officially released the open source operating system deepin 23, which brought many major updates such as a new DDE vision, AI For OS, "Linyaps" application ecosystem, the world's first Xinchuang IDE "deepin-IDE", etc. At this press conference, Ruyi Linglong (Linyaps), as one of the important features of deepin 23, officially announced that the new 1.6 version of Linyaps environment and components have been officially integrated into the deepin system repository. All deepin 23 users can use Linyaps applications, transform and build Linyaps applications without any barriers.

The 1.6 version update of Linyaps further optimizes the isolation technology and solves the compatibility conflicts caused by upgrades between systems and applications, and between applications and applications. Ordinary users can upgrade systems or software without any pressure, and no longer have to worry about upgrading the system causing applications to fail to run.

Linyaps is fully upgraded to support mainstream distributions and CPU architectures

Version information: Package name: linglong New version: 1.6deepin 23 Users can obtain the latest Linyaps version by upgrading the system to the latest version. For usage methods of other distributions, please refer to the Linyaps community official website.
Multiple CPU architecture support : The official version of deepin 23 already supports X86 and ARM architectures. The system-integrated Linyaps1.6 version also provides multi-CPU architecture Linyaps environment operation and corresponding build environments (X86, ARM).
Multi-distro support:

  • deepin 23 official version: Linyaps version 1.6 has been officially integrated into the system repository. The Linyaps format has become the core software package format of deepin 23. Linyaps applications can be installed and managed through the system's built-in application store.
  • Other distributions: UOS 1070, openEuler 24.03 LTS, Ubuntu 24.04, Debian 12, openKylin 2.0rc are supported. After manually adding the Linyaps repository source, you can install the Linyaps main program, build tools, and run Linyaps applications.

Core components upgraded to enable efficient software distribution

  • Linyaps build tool "ll-builder" upgrade: added support for direct build of uab format applications. (Currently only supports building uab on deepin 23 and UOS 20)
  • Linyaps conversion tool upgrade: supports the conversion of deb and AppImage formats to Linyaps packages, a quick conversion, and the software is available across releases.
  • Linyaps management tool "ll-cli" upgrade: The package management tool adds support for uab packages and supports installation of uab format installation packages through the command line "ll-cli install".

Continuous development, Linyaps empowers the Linux ecosystem

Rather than walking alone, it is better to walk together. The ecosystem development of Linux requires everyone’s joint efforts. The Linyaps community continues to recruit developers who are interested in the development of the Linux ecosystem. Currently, more than 500 developers have joined the project's ecosystem collaboration group. They are contributing to the prosperity of the Linyaps ecosystem in various ways.
